Department of Physics and Astronomy
Position: Graduate Assistant for Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Starting Date: Fall 2009 and ongoing.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree-seeking graduate student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy to assist with laboratories, tutorials and large lectures. Graduate Assistants must be registered in a CSU graduate degree program and must be enrolled in courses towards the completion of that graduate degree during the appointment period. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications: None.
Duties: Under the general supervision of the Department Chair, provides support for 100 and 200 series Physics and Astronomy large lectures and laboratories and 200-level activity/tutorials.
Salary: Current Graduate Assistant rate for an average of 20 hours per week.
