Position: Head Coach, Women's Volleyball. Full-Time, 12-month appointment in the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Starting Date: January 1, 2010.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, master’s degree in physical education or related field preferred. The ideal candidate will have successful coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or pro levels; a strong commitment to the welfare of student-athletes; a reputation of sportsmanship and integrity; excellent communication and organizational skills; and a demonstrated ability and/or interest in working in a multi-ethnic, multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications: None.

Duties: Serve as Head Coach of a highly competitive NCAA Division II program. Responsibilities include, coordinating practices and games, recruiting, ordering equipment, scheduling, monitoring the strength and conditioning program, organizing and overseeing various volleyball events, and fund-raising. The Head Coach is responsible for enforcement of institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations relevant to Cal State L.A. Women’s Volleyball. Head Coach reports to the Director of Athletics or his/her designee.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
