Department of Anthropology
Position: Graduate Assistant for the Department of Anthropology.
Starting Date: Spring 2008, and on-going.
Minimum Qualifications: Degree-seeking graduate student in the Department of Anthropology to perform and assist professors in a large lecture class: photocopying, help proctor exam, showing a video, help the professor as the professor deems necessary. Graduate Assistants must be registered in a CSU graduate degree program and must be enrolled in courses towards the completion of that graduate degree during the appointment period. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Second year in a Master of Art in Anthropology.
Duties: Under the general supervision of the professor for the specific class provides.
Salary: Current Graduate Assistant rate for an average of 20 hours per week.
