Position: Lecturer, temporary, non-tenure-track faculty positions with the possibility of renewal for additional quarters.  

Starting Date: Winter Quarter 2012, classes start January 9, 2012

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have earned Masters’ degree in Accounting or be working towards a Doctoral degree. Applicants must be professionally qualified by demonstrated currency in accounting (this could be demonstrated by a managerial position in an accounting firm or department or CPA license with Continued professional education or development) or academically qualified through a doctoral degree and/or publications.  Applicants must have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Primary teaching for winter quarter will be in financial accounting undergraduate classes, but the ability to teach auditing and governmental accounting will also be considered.  All Applicants must be professionally qualified through work experience in the field in which they will teach or academically qualified through publications.

Duties: Faculty will teach courses in undergraduate financial accounting and/or auditing.  Faculty are also required to hold office hours.

Salary: Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
