Minimum Qualifications: |
M.A. in Fashion Design-related field; must
be from an accredited institution of higher education. Professional
experience in the fashion industry. Candidates should provide record of or potential for
scholarly activity involving students whenever possible, as well as the demonstrated potential for effective
teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic campus. |

Preferred: Qualifications: |
MFA in Fashion Design, must be from an
accredited institution of higher education. Record of
research, scholarly and/or creative activity, involving students whenever possible. Evidence of effective
teaching. Experience with Fashion Design software. Strong art background and ability to teach in related
fields of Art (e.g. Foundations of Art: Drawing, 2-d Design, 3-d Design, Color). |

Duties: |
Teach undergraduate courses at beginning
and advanced levels in Fashion Design and related areas. Engage in research, scholarly and/or
creative activity. In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement and committee service
for the Department of Art, the University. |

Salary: |
Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience |
