Department of Modern Languages & Literatures
Position: Temporary. Sub-Discipline: Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese. The California State University, Los Angeles, Department of Modern Languages and Literatures are offering a renewable lectureship in language(s) to begin in various quarters as needed. Teaching responsibilities may include instruction in courses in the language(s) listed above at the undergraduate level. Special consideration will be given to those who can teach courses in the language(s) listed above.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have an M.A. or PhD from an accredited university. Evidence of successful teaching experience at the college level using proficiency-based approach. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level. Must be able to work effectively with a wide culturally diverse range of students and faculty. Native or near-native speaking ability.
Salary: This is a non tenure-track Faculty position with the possibility of renewal for additional quarters. Salary is competitive and commensurate to experience and qualifications.
