Minimum Qualifications: |
MLS degree from an ALA Accredited institution. Demonstrated recent reference experience using print and electronic resources. Demonstrated effective teaching experience in a classroom setting. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently. Demonstrated commitment to user-centered service and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Ability to work nights and weekends. |

Preferred: Qualifications: |
Demonstrated recent reference
and instruction experience in an academic library setting. Possess proficiency in Spanish or an Asian
language. |

|
Duties: |
Provide general information and
subject specific reference service at the reference and information
desk. Assist, as needed, in teaching
in the Library’s instructional programs. |
|
|
Salary: |
Appointments are made at the rank of Senior Assistant Librarian. Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
