3The Writing Proficiency Examination (WPE) must be passed prior to completion of 135 quarter units, including transferable units.
4 These may include any of the following not already taken as L & S Electives: SOC 300, 322, 323, 331, 348, 383, any 400-level sociology courses, up to 8 units (with permit) of SOC 398, 498, or 499, and up to 8 units (with permit) in relevant non-sociology UD coursework.
