The Vocal Arts area at California
State University, Los Angeles is dedicated to a program of study
designed to bring each student to his or her highest individual
potential through a positive, diverse and collegial
environment. We are proud of our ability to produce students
who are successful in a variety of musical disciplines, be it
vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, music education or some other
aspect of the musical arts. At each level of study, students
pursue the highest standards of training in the development of
technique, repertoire, languages, and musicianship.
Performance opportunities may
include degree and non degree recitals, solos in choral
ensembles, opera scenes and productions, jazz ensembles, master classes
featuring preeminent guest artists, performance and diction
courses, and weekly studio master classes.
We also give students the
opportunity to receive first class training with outstanding
artist performers in an exciting, ever expanding program. At
CSULA, you can receive the best training possible for a fraction
of the cost of other area universities.
