Effective Fall 2007, all conditional courses must be satisfied with 3.0 GPA before students can be classified.  Consideration will be made under reasonable circumstances (e.g., only linguistics courses are left to be taken) to move prerequisites to corequisites, so that students could take 400-level elective courses on their program without being classified.

05/14/2007 To the students who plan to take ML 396:
ML 396 Early Field Experience in Language Teaching is a fieldwork course. In order to conduct your fieldwork, you need to have (1) a Certificate of Character and Identification Clearance and (2) TB skin test clearance. It takes long time to get a Certificate of Character and Identification Clearance. Therefore, please start the application process immediately if you plan to take ML 396 in Winter 2008. For more information, please read a webpage about ML 396 requirements.
01/08/2007 Summer Intensive Korean will be offered at Cal State LA in Summer 2007. This program is part of a strategic language initiative that is designed to provide selected students with the opportunity to study Korean language and culture over a multi-year period, and will include subsidized study abroad in South Korea for the 2007 participants and subsidized campus housing for the 2008 participants. For more information, please go to the page for Summer Intensive Korean.
05/29/2006 New Programs in French, Japanese, and Spanish will start from Summer 2006. Please click here to see the new program course requirements.
Note: If you entered the program before July 2006, and plan to get single subject credential, but have not taken ML496 as of June 2006, you must take ML 396.
