Friends and family may have asked this question, or you may have thought about it yourself. About half of the students in our majors go on to careers teaching at the middle school, high school, or college level. But what about those who don’t want to teach? What can they do with a history degree?
Answer: Just about anything. Historians study all aspects of the human experience, and the skills they learn apply to a wide range of professions. Here are just some of the positions held by graduates of our department:
