This option is offered only for individuals who have completed an accredited dental hygiene education program and an associate degree at a community college or its equivalency. At the time of admission to the Cal State L.A. Program, students will be expected to have completed all Lower Division General Education courses and a sufficient number of units to qualify for upper division standing. Students who have not met these requirements must fulfill any remaining prerequisite and required courses. Students shall complete the Upper Division General Education requirements, including the Diversity Requirement, the Health Science Core, and the Option Requirements listed below.
