The University's Academic Advisement Center is open to all freshmen, sophomores and first-time transfer students. Services include:

- petitions for general education
- petitions for excess units (for freshmen and sophomores)
- first time disqualifications (for freshmen and sophomores)
Department Level Advisement
Students may make appointments to see a Departmental Adviser in the COMD office. Services include:

- Course substitutions within the major

- Career advisement
