Graduate Student Meeting Nov 9th:
There will be a meeting with the Geography faculty members on Nov. 9th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. This will give us an opportunity to get to know each other better and discuss our educational and research interests.
In an informal setting, faculty members will briefly present their current and long term research projects. We will then hear from each of you regarding your academic interests. We hope that this meeting will allow you to get to know the faculty members and your fellow graduate students better and be informed about research and educational opportunities in our department.
Career Fair Nov 17th, and Geography Awareness Week:
Career Fair is Tues., Nov. 17th 4-7 pm on the 4th fl. KH D-wing during Geog Awareness Week. We already have several reps confirmed, including the National Weather Service, Pasadena City Transportation, Rand McNally, JPL, and City of LA. Several others usually show up as well.
The Geography Awareness Week Contest will be running in the University Times for the 22nd consecutive year, with fab prizes to winners during GAW.
GIS Day is Wed., Nov. 18th.
