Statement Magazine, CSULA’s journal of literature and the arts, is now accepting submissions for its 2012 issue. The submissions deadline is February 9, 2012. The theme of the 62nd anniversary issue is "Los Angeles" in all of its dimensions.
General Guidelines:
Literary submissions may include short stories, creative nonfiction, poetry, screen or stage plays (one-acts or scenes preferred) and inter-genre work, and must be word-processed. Screen plays must be sent in PDF.
Artistic submissions may include photography, painting, mixed- or multi-media work, sculpture, crafts, drawing, textile design and other inter-genre work. Artists working in three-dimensional forms should submit a high-resolution photo of their work via hard copy or electronically (disk or e-mail) for consideration.

Submissions must include a cover sheet with your name, e-mail address and title(s) of submitted work. Your name must not appear on any of submitted writing or art. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be considered. Submissions will not be returned.
All literary submissions are eligible for consideration for the Dean’s Prizes. Painting and photography submissions are eligible for consideration for Art Prizes sponsored by The Colonnade Art Gallery.
