Statement Magazine, CSULA’s journal of literature and the arts, is now accepting submissions for its 2013 issue. The submissions deadline is Monday, February 4, 2013.
Theme:
-Our
theme for this year is BOLD
in all its denotative and connotative meanings and beyond. Explore the
theme in whatever manner you like. Be creative!
-Submissions
that do not reflect the theme will be considered, but preference will be
given for theme adherence.
Guidelines
for submissions:
-Limit
of three (3) submissions total (all genres accepted).
-Must
include a single cover page with all titles listed and contact
information (name and email address).
This is the only place your name should appear.
-Each
work must be separate from other submissions with the title at the top
of the first page of each submission. Do not start another work on the
same page that another ends.
-Aside
from the cover page, only the works themselves should be submitted.
Do not add additional headers/footers with your name, CIN, or any
other text not of the original work.
How
to submit:
Choose
one of the following:
-Place
a hard copy inside the Statement mailbox in the English
Department mail room, E
& T 636.
Please paper clip the pages together; do not staple.
-Email
your submission to Statement@calstatela.edu.
Please attach it in .doc format.
-Submissions
also may be mailed to Statement,
English Department, California State University, Los Angeles, 5151 State
University Drive, Los Angeles CA 90032.
Please allow adequate time for delivery.
