|Karl Marx, a noted
German economist, will speak in the student union on
current trends in economics. Marx's talk, tentatively
titled "Why Ruskin is Wrong," will treat the
growing disparity between what he calls
"capital" and "labor."
Marx's distinguished record of scholarship includes
visiting professorships throughout Germany and France, and
a lengthy stay in London. Copies of his recent book, Das
Kapital, Volume 1, will be available for purchase. The
make himself available after his talk to sign copies.
Please note that the author will only sign copies
purchased the night of this event.
This event, which is free and open to the public, will be held
on Thursday, February 26, 2004 in the Golden Eagle Ballroom from
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. A reception will follow immediately after the lecture.
