Call for Papers

 

American Literature Association

19th Annual Conference

May 22-25, 2008

San Francisco, CA



The Mark Twain Circle will offer the following two sessions at the 2008 ALA convention:

 1.  Mark Twain's Use of History--ideas and events from the past that influenced him.

 2.  The International Mark Twain--Twain's involvement in international events, and/or their impact on him.


Each panel will consist of three papers of no more than 20 minutes' duration. 

All papers should be sent to Prof. Lawrence I. Berkove either at Dept. of Humanities/
Univ. of Michigan-Dearborn/ Dearborn, MI 48128 or the following e-mail address:
 lberkove@umd.umich.edu.  Papers will be acknowledged when received.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, Jan. 7, 2008.  Decisions will be made
by Tues. Jan. 15 and notifications will follow shortly thereafter.
