The African American Literature and
Culture Society invites scholars to submit paper or panel proposals for our
sessions at the 2008 American Literature Association meetings in May. We
encourage and will consider proposals on any subject relevant to African
American literature and culture. Special topics of consideration might
include:
Straight Outta Compton at 20: The Legacy and Future of Gangsta
Rap
Ishmael Reed
San Francisco State and the Origins of African
American Studies
Gwendolyn Brooks
Please submit a 250-word
