In support of The Boeing Company and The SBDC hosted by Cal State L.A’s effort to increase partnerships with Small Businesses and research-driven Universities, a Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) workshop will be held at the California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. The STTR program provides up to $850,000 in early stage research and development funding directly to the small businesses working cooperatively with researchers at universities and other research institutions.
The purpose of this event is to create a forum that will enhance the creation of partnerships between small businesses and universities, in the development of technologies that may have potential application on Boeing products.
This one day event will feature speakers from The Boeing Company, US DoD SBIR/STTR Program office, and University Faculty members. Breakout sessions will be held to address specific technologies, and to provide networking opportunities for small businesses/universities in attendance to showcase their engineering/technical/research capabilities, services, and products. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The focus of this summit will be on: unmanned systems, C4ISR (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), cyber security, and energy/environment; with emphasis on topics from STTR 12.A solicitations scheduled to be released on January 26, 2012 (http://www.acq.osd.mil/osbp/sbir/solicitations/index.htm).
From the technology areas specified above, please let us know which one your company is interested in based on your competency. If more than one technology is identified, please list primary and secondary.
