Center for Energy and Sustainability

The concept of sustainable energy research, as realized by Center for Energy & Sustainability, involves a multi-disciplinary effort to address issues of making existing energy technologies more efficient while pursuing emerging alternate energy technologies that are not reliant on fossil fuels. The Center's activities seek to promote energy diversity, energy sustainability, and energy efficiency by conducting fundamental and applied research in fuel cells, photovoltaics, biofuels, combustion, and carbon sequestration. Along with research comes the need to educate policymakers and the public about the values and feasibilities of alternative energy technologies, as well as environmental impacts of energy technologies.
