Undergraduate Freshman and Transfer Advisement

In order to provide quality academic advisement and support student excellence and academic achievement, the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology operates a Outreach, Advising, and Retention Center. This office exists to help prospective undergraduate engineering, computer science, and technology majors reach their academic goals in a productive and time-efficient manner.

Important Note:  Graduate Students, please visit your future department for advising.

The office also works with College faculty advisors in the undergraduate academic advisement process by providing information and guidance directly to new students.

Some of the many services provided include:

• Assistance with individual undergraduate transfer and freshman advisement;
• Undergraduate evaluation and explanation of transfer credits from other institutions;
• Advisement regarding appropriate substitution courses for general education and major classes;
• Information about University and College resources, policies and procedures;
• Exploring feasible solutions for academic probation and disqualification;
• Assistance in making the academic process a little easier!

Students are welcome to call and make an appointment with a undergraduate Outreach, Advising, and Retention advisor.
