Field Practitioners' Retreat
One of the highlighted features of the MA Degree Program
in Collaborative School Leadership is the connection between academic theories
and field practices. Through the close ties and interactions between academicians
and professionals, students will be able to experience the synergetic effects
of collaborative endeavors between theories and practices.
The Program design team seeks insights and feedback from
practicing professionals regarding characteristics of effective school
leaders. While practitioners are asked to work collaboratively in schools,
there has not been a higher education program where prospective professionals
are prepared for collaborative leadership.
The goals of the Retreat are to (a) identify essential
attitudes, skills, and knowledge for effective school leaders and (b) collect
recommendations from practitioners on how to better prepare prospective
professionals to become effective collaborative school leaders.
