ESSENTIAL INFORMATIONPREREQUISITES
BCST 301 is the prerequisite for this course.THE INTENTION OF THIS COURSE:
To have you gain mastery in the art and craft of digital non-linear editing, allowing you to operate the Avid Media Composer with confidence and ease. What goes on in this course is that you will develop your ability to manipulate pictures and sound primarily through the use of a computer. You do not need past experience in operating computers. What will serve you is an extraordinary desire to learn about the world of digital postproduction.ATTENDANCE
BCST 303B: Introduction to Film Digital Post Production is a six-week course. Each session is designed to have you make a pronounced and dramatic leap in your command of the Avid Media Composer, and in your mastery in the art and craft of editing.Classroom sessions
I request that you attend every classroom session. To help insure that every
student receives the full value of the course, the attendance of each student is
essential. If you don’t show up, you will be missed. If you know that you cannot
attend a session, inform me of this as soon as possible.Practical Days
Editing is a time intensive activity. Several Practical Days will be scheduled to
provide you with the opportunity to get significant hands-on time with
the Avid Media Composer.These dates include:

GRADING/FINAL EXAMThis is a credit/ no credit course. Your grade will be determined by your performance on the final exam, which will be given on February 9, 2001 at 10 AM in the regular classroom, KH D4050.
