Teams receive randomly assigned story concepts from the event organizers. The 24-Hour film challenge offers two awards: the jury and the audience award; CSULA students won the audience award.  Filmmakers in the competition have traveled to Cannes from all over the world.  This year, nearly a dozen film students from CSULA made the annual trip to Cannes with CSULA screenwriting professor Kristiina Hackel.
