Inaddition to the
Communication Studies/Theatre Arts joint MFA in Television, Film and
Media Studies, the program leading to
the Master
of Arts
degree in Telecommunications and Film and the Bachelor of Arts degree
with
a major in Television, Film & Media Studies emphasizes both
theoretical
understanding and practical application of these mass media of
communication
in contemporary society. The Bachelor of Arts degree offers three
disciplinary
options: Broadcast Journalism, Animation and Telecommunications and
Film.
It is the primary objective of our curriculum to help develop a
knowledgeable
and artistically skilled graduate who will be able to pursue an
advanced
degree and/or a professional career in broadcasting, cinema, and mass
communication
research. The program emphasizes the importance of the communication
media's
awareness of the multiethnic composition of society and media's impact
