This program requires 63-64 units (quarter) to become a certified teacher. This program can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis.
Prospective students must attend a group advisement session. Call the Division office for dates and locations 323-343-4400. When you are admitted to the University and the Charter College, and attended a group advisement meeting, you will be assigned a faculty advisor. The coursework and prerequisites are subject to change and are evaluated individually for each student. All students must meet with an academic advisor to discuss their specific course of study. You can schedule for a program planning via email to your assigned advisor. You will need to bring a copy of your transcripts and your philosophy of education statement.
