The Central Los Angeles Writing Project
The Central Los Angeles Writing Project at California State University, Los Angeles is a cooperative school and university program to improve the writing of all students, elementary through university levels. It empowers teachers who teach writing and use writing as a tool for learning. Affiliated with the California Writing Project and the National Writing Project, this program offers year-round professional development courses that give teachers House Points in their districts.

C. Lamar Mayer Learning Center
The C. Lamar Mayer Learning Center serves as a fieldwork site for Special Education Level 1 credential candidates and as a Saturday enrichment program for children from the surrounding community. Children with and without disabilities receive individualized attention for their learning needs from highly qualified credential candidates who have state-of-the-art learning materials and computer technology available.

Centro de Ninos y Padres
Located on the CSULA campus, this early intervention program serves young children with disabilities and their families from the multicultural community of East Los Angeles. The center, part of the Division of Special Education--provides early home and school intervention for children from birth to three who are identified by the Regional Center as having developmental disabilities and are at risk. Its goal is to provide family-focused services that will enhance the child's overall development and the quality of family.
The Friends of the Charter College of Education
The Friends of the Charter College of Education was founded in 1978 to support the College of Education at California State University, Los Angeles. As one of the oldest support groups at the university, the Friends regularly sponsors or co-sponsors activities that enhance education in general and the art of teaching in particular. From academic workshops and professional development for faculty to annual new teacher recognition and student recruitment activities, to one of Los Angeles County's most highly regarded professional achievement awards - the Distinguished Educator Award Dinner - the Friends help to create and sustain the unique strengths of the Charter College of Education. Membership in Friends is open to alumni, teachers and administrators, University faculty, community members and others who are interested in supporting the needs of students and programs of the university and the Charter College of Education.

Inclusive Education for Young Children
The IEYC was established to improve the quality of early care and education for all children by:
- Providing information about the early childhood career lattice and training and employment opportunities for those entering and moving upward in the profession.
- Disseminating information about best practices in caring for and teaching young children (birth to age 8)
- Sponsoring interdisciplinary programs that address the needs of young children and support those working with young children and families.
The IEYC Professional Development Center includes faculty and staff in the Charter College of Education at CSULA, as well as current and former early childhood practitioners at various levels who are dedicated to promoting the well-being of all young children and to supporting the training needs of those who work with children and their families in various capacities.
