The faculty and staff of the Department of Biological Sciences are committed to providing our students with an outstanding academic environment that successfully prepares them for careers as research scientists, health professionals, teachers, natural resource managers, and a host of other professions. Many of these students work closely with our faculty not only in the classroom and teaching laboratories, but also in research laboratories. As a result, our undergraduate and master's degree students are co-authors with faculty on articles appearing in national and international research journals, and have earned awards for their research presentations at state and national competitions.
