California State University, Los Angeles is committed to the assessment of the General Education program. The role of assessment in general education is to improve the program and enhance student learning.

University policy on assessment directs the General Education Subcommittee to assess the GE program in collaboration with units that offer GE courses. California State University, Los Angeles, through Academic Affairs, supports a GE Assessment Faculty Coordinator to assist the subcommittee in implementing the GE Assessment Plan.
