Cal State L.A. experience:
"Taking on leadership roles both in the classroom and on campus was challenging and invigorating. As founding president of the MBA Association, I envisioned an organization that would round out the student experience at Cal State LA. Being in a 'commuter' MBA program can create an atmosphere of isolation; but through the MBA Association, students were able to build foundations of camaraderie and business networking. In addition, I learned the power of working toward a goal, enlisting the right people, channeling their strengths, and making sound use of resources however scarce they may be. The result: the 'undo-able' was done!"
"An experience which I highly value was the opportunity to work closely with a group of dedicated students and professors on writing a case. Professors Drost and McGuire guided my teammates and me with commitment, enthusiasm, and expertise. The case won the North American Case Research Association's (NACRA) "Best Student-Authored Case of 2007", and is being considered for publication! Presenting our case at the NACRA conference and discussing it with academicians from all over the US was a truly rewarding experience."
