The Office of Graduate Studies and Research, a unit of the Division of Academic
Affairs provides
leadership and service to promote graduate studies and to help
faculty and others obtain off-campus funds for projects that
support student and faculty research, scholarship and learning and
that contribute generally to strengthening the institution.
Special attention is given to interdisciplinary efforts that can
contribute to leadership in a changing world. In addition,
the GS&R Office oversees all Presidentially-chartered centers
and plays a leadership role in Cal State L.A.'s China Activities.
