How does Turnitin.com work?
“Plagiarism prevention” system on the
Turnitin.com prevents and detects plagiarism by
comparing submitted papers to the entire Internet as well as to an
exclusive database of previously submitted papers to the site. The
results of their comparisons are compiled, one for each paper
submitted, in custom "Originality Reports."
All work submitted to Turnitin
is checked against three databases of content:
