Workshops are held in the eLearning Programs and Support Center, located in the Fine Arts building room 138. Most are 1 hour long hands-on workshops that provide instruction on several eLearning programs.
Programs include plagiarism prevention, building online quizzes, working and enhancing Microsoft files, working with video, and providing accessible web content that meets Section 508 compliance.

Creating a Podcast - Demonstration
Am sure youve heard about them. If not, come learn what a podcast is. This workshop will teach you how to create xml files and mp3 audio files to make a podcast. Once created, you can include your podcast on your faculty website for your students to access and listen to using mp3 players and or iTunes. We will also introduce Dragon Naturally Speaking to create podcast transcripts. Come learn how the magic is done.

Got Video - Learn how to digitize and edit video -
Demonstration
This workshop will teach you how to capture and digitize video using Adobe Premiere Pro. Once
captured, we will teach you some basic video editing techniques. The workshop will
also recommend video formats for appropriate delivery. We will also discuss media
types that you can use to store your final project. A brief training on
Nero will be presented to show you its recording capabilities.

Impatica for Microsoft PowerPoint is a compression program. It will turn large PowerPoint files
into smaller ones that are converted into a web base version for use on WebCT or on your own faculty website.
The new version will allow users with slow dial-up internet connections improved access to your lectures.
The converted PowerPoint file will keep all of the multimedia created in the original file. Come find out
how simple it is to use this program.

Turnitin is an online plagiarism prevention program that you can access on-campus or
at home. It will detect plagiarism by comparing student assignments against ongoing
databases maintained by Turnitin. This will help you monitor student assignments,
while at the same time improving writing techniques for your students. The workshop
will teach you how to create a Turnitin class, assignment and how to read
Turnitin
originality reports when plagiarism has been detected. The
