Stolen Descartes Letter Found
One of 72 letters by Philosopher René Descartes, stolen from the Institut de France in the mid-1800s by an Italian mathematician, has been discovered at Haverford College. The subject of the May 27, 1641 letter is the publication of "Meditations on First Philosophy."
Automated Captions in YouTube
YouTube has "combined Google's automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology with the YouTube caption system to offer automatic captions." More info ...
Feynman Lectures on Physics
Bill Gates has arranged to bring the previously costly Feynman Lectures on Physics free to the world. (Requires free Silverlight plugin.)
