Welcome to CETL Moodle Training
Moodle Learning Community
The Moodle Learning Community is a Moodle site that provides step-by-step instructions to many of Moodle’s features, such as setting up a profile, creating a quiz, and managing the gradebook, etc. Members may post questions to the Moodle community. This is an excellent starting point to gain support from the CSULA faculty community and receive answers to common questions. To request to be added to the Moodle Learning Community, please email mymoodle@calstatela.edu.Moodle Workshops
During the 2012-2013 academic year, a series of Moodle workshops will
be scheduled. Please visit CETL's
Workshops and Calendar for an updated schedule.
Workshop Descriptions
Moodle-in-a-day
Workshops:
Want to get ready for school
before winter quarter begins? Consider attending a whole-day
workshop
provided by the Center for Effective Teaching and Learning (CETL) and
rebuild your Moodle course in one day. The workshop will
begin with
archiving Blackboard course content, such as files, links and grades
and downloading onto the desktop. Participants will then
design their
Moodle course, upload files, learn how to read and reply to messages,
create quizzes and manage the gradebook.
Moodle:
Essentials:
This workshop will cover the basics of setting up and navigating a
Moodle course site. Participants will learn how to design their
Moodle course, add
resources,
such as files and URLs, and how to communicate via announcements and
messaging.
Moodle: Quizzes
& Gradebook:
This workshop will cover the fundamentals of creating a quiz body,
generating multiple choice, true/false, matching and short answer
questions in the question bank, and adding questions to the quiz body.
Participants will learn how to manage the gradebook by adjusting
settings, entering grades manually, and creating grade columns and
categories.
Please visit CETL's Workshops and Calendar for a complete schedule.
