The Center for Effective Teaching and Learning (CETL) advances the scholarship of teaching and learning by offering a variety of services supporting faculty development to develop full teaching potential. CETL offers support to create engaging learning environments to enhance student learning outcomes. Faculty development includes one-on-one consultations, workshops, brown bag discussions, webinars, and peer mentoring.
CETL is dedicated to:
- Promoting best practices to enhance student learning outcomes
- Developing an institutional model that fosters collaboration and community
- Encouraging all faculty to explore new pedagogy and best practices
- Modeling good teaching and learning practice
Individualized Teaching Consultations
CETL offers consultations with faculty to help reflect on teaching practices and to provide feedback for improvement and growth. Topics may include, but are not limited to, presentation skills, course management, course syllabi development, course design, and assessments. Consultations are confidential and voluntary.
