One tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.

Starting Date:

August 2017

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. or equivalent in Management with an emphasis in Human Resource Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education, qualifying the candidate as a Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards.  Experience or expertise in one or more areas of Human Resource Management and ability to teach in related fields at both undergraduate and graduate levels.  Candidates should provide record of or potential for scholarly activity and effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication, and an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

The best applicant will have a secondary area of teaching and scholarly interest that complements the current faculty, such as general management, strategic management, healthcare management, and social entrepreneurship.


The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching, research, scholarly activity, and service to the Department, College of Business and Economics, and the University, profession and to the community.  These responsibilities generally include: advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions.


Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
